Spyros Tsiounis - Animation Production, Creative Direction, Story and Art Development
I am a producer who collaborates with creators and media businesses to help them tell ambitious visual stories, cost-effectively, by assembling talented teams that combine narrative craft, robust operations, and technological innovation.
Recent projects I have produced and led development for include The Walking Dead, Raymond Feist’s The Riftwar Cycle and a new sci fi series called Emergence by David S. Goyer (Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Blade, Foundation).
At studios like Dreamworks and Lucasfilm, and tech startups backed by Andreessen-Horowitz and Sequoia Capital, I've led forward-thinking efforts in distributed animation pipelines, game engine integration, pre-visualization, interactive media, and modern intellectual property applications.
I understand professional creators because I have been one myself. My credits as a story artist include films like Coraline, Kung Fu Panda, and Bee Movie, as well as TV shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
I went to film school at the University of Southern California and graduated in Character Animation from the California Institute of the Arts.
Above all, I am a nerd who hosts movie nights, plays collectible card fantasy games, debates lore, and carries around a sketchbook full of observations from the world around me and inside my head.
